What £1,295 actually gets you

It covers:

• Collection, day or night, from anywhere in Manchester

• Care at our private Care Centre in Maghull

• A simple, dignified coffin

• All the paperwork and crematorium fees

• The cremation itself, at a trusted local crematorium

• Your loved one's ashes, hand-delivered back to you, or scattered in the crematorium's garden of remembrance

• Updates along the way, so you're never left wondering what's happening
  

Unlike many providers, we include an engraved traditional wooden urn as part of our service at no additional cost. Families are not charged extra for this.

The two things that can change the price

There are two situations where the price can change: 

• If your loved one has a battery-operated medical implant, such as a pacemaker, it needs to be safely removed before cremation, and that carries a £150 fee. 

• In rare cases where someone's size means extra handling or equipment is needed, there may be an additional cost. (Our standard price covers individuals up to 18 stone and up to 6ft 2in. Above 18 stone, a surcharge of £300 applies, rising to £800 above 24 stone, and a further £100 applies if your loved one is also over 6ft 2in and needs a custom coffin).

Yes, for almost every family. It's the price we quote and the price you pay. A small additional charge applies for individuals over 18 stone or 6ft 2in, or where a medical implant needs removing, which we'll always talk through with you directly.

Are there any extra fees I should know about?

Do you charge more for collections further from Maghull?

Not within our standard coverage area of Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, which includes Manchester. Manchester is around twenty-four miles from our Care Centre, roughly forty-five minutes by road, and the price is the same no matter the distance within that area. Outside of this area, a mileage charge applies, so if you're unsure whether your location falls within our coverage, just give us a call and we'll let you know.

What happens to the ashes, do they come back in an urn?

Yes. We return your loved one's ashes to you in an engraved traditional wooden urn, included as part of our service at no extra cost.
